This instrument features built-in horizontal and vertical optical micrometers providing displacement up to plus or minus .050 in. Direct reading to .001 in. Optical micrometer accuracy is plus or minus .0002 in. over their full range. The scale markings on the drum are in red and black, indicating the direction of displacement. It comes with a fitted factory transport case and original user manual, but a calibration report or certificate is not included. This is a listing for a K&E Cubic Precision 71-2022 Alignment Telescope, serial number 412720. This instrument is a late-production unit that was made before Brunson's acquisition of the Cubic Precision optical metrology line. It has a focusing range of zero to infinity and magnification that automatically adjusts from 4x to 46x. Additionally, it has an effective aperture of 42mm and resolving power of 3.4 seconds of arc. The telescope barrel is made of through hardened stabilized tool steel with a hard chrome surface, conforming to A.I.A specifications. It also includes a built-in auto-reflection target and auto-collimation illumination unit.
