KAOWOOL THERMAL INSULATION  BOARD "M" GRADE  12" x 6" x 1/4" THICK   No.:309 You are buying on One Piece of Kaowool Thermal Insulation Board. It is "M" Grade Board. It measures 12" x 6" x 1/4" thick. Be sure to view all photos as they are an integral component of the item description. Kaowool "M" Series Board has a Maximum Temperature Raring of 2300 degrees F (1260 degrees C). It has High tensile strength at 200 - 300 PSI. High-performance, board, paper and felt products from Thermal Ceramics are the preferred choice over traditional fiberglass, textile, or metal products for thermal, acoustical, or filtration management. Kaowool  "M" Grade Board products are produced from Kaowool high purity fibers and organic binders in a unique paper/felt making process. Each of these paper products are noted for their excellent tensile strengths and outstanding handling characteristics. The "M" Grade Board is manufactured from cleaned Kaowool high purity ceramic fibers resulting in a premium paper product with low shot (unfiberized material) content. The organic binding starch which hold the board together during the forming process burns out and exhibit the smell of burning paper upon the first firings and turns brown. Do not be alarmed. The binders can be "pre-burned" out at 800 degrees C. To achieve the white color it had when received. Kaowool  "M" Grade Board is useful for • Low thermal conductivity and heat storage • Thin, flexible high temperature insulation • Easily die-cut to form complex shapes for high temperature gasketing • Excellent backup and expansion joint material Applications • High temperature gaskets and seals • Refractory back-up insulation • Appliance insulation • Separating media for heat treating metals • High temperature filtration • High temperature expansion joint packing • Glassware separating media • Parting agent for brazing operations • Hot face and backup lining for lab furnaces • Aluminum distributor pan lining • Super alloy ingot mold lining and hot tapes.
