Hi, Please READ the entire listing ( I am well aware it is quite lengthy) and review the photos, towards the bottom it gives you an acceptable contact procedure. I have been asked a few questions so I will attempt to answer them here for everyone to review. 1. How much can you make? That seems to be the number one question, What I can tell you is a per hour figure back when we were doing this. Keep in mind I was charging 1, 3 and 5 dollars a bag, most vendors are charging double that now 2,6 and 10 dollars a bag. My average per hr was 225.00 with 40.00 in expenses. For an 8hr show that is 2000.00 dollars with 320.00 dollars expenses, that makes 1680.00 after hard expenses net. We would usually have lunch on site and go out for supper afterwards, top the propane tank off and were left with 1600.00. Not bad for 8 hrs work and a couple of prep hrs and an hour or so of cleanup. Now look at what the current figure could be with the bag prices double from what we were charging and the expenses almost the same. Expense breakdown..popcorn 26.00 50lbs, 10.00 oil, 2.00 salt 6.00 sugar that is 44.00 dollars per hr, round up to cover bags and propane lets say 50.00 hr now. 8hrs expenses 400.00 dollars not that much higher. Now double my sales 450.00 hr at 8hrs, 3600.00 dollars gross sales less the 400.00 expenses leaves you with 3200.00 go have the best steak you can find and a few drinks and your still left with over 3000.00. Not bad for a hard days work. Even with my prices used (and no one in their right mind would do that) you would have this paid off with 5 good day shows and less than 3 at current bag pricing. Now with that said will every show result in those figures......no but every show we went to did. I learned early on there is a difference in shows and I didn't do events that wouldn't make me what I was looking for. If I were doing it now with the current prices being charged I would be looking at a lot more events. The math works and when you compare what your potential per hr profit is, Kettle Corn done the right way is like buying the Goose that Layed the Golden Egg if you have the right equipment that can produce a consistent QUALITY product hr after hr. If you have eaten much kettle corn you will understand that statement. 2. What type of tent is that? It is a wall tent that was a custom build from Montana Canvas Tent. The tent before modification with the frame was 1700.00, the modifications to the tent, (4 corner zippers and adding 2' to the side walls along with the materials to modify the frame for the additional height) was 900.00 and around 200.00 in freight. 2800.00 one of a kind tent. 3. Why are you selling? Life is going in a different direction now and I don't see it in the future. Family, health, moving, expanding our family, new job are the current course faith and fate has set. 4. Is Kettle corn hard work? Anything that has this kind of profit potential is hard work, Work smart, Work hard, Work Fast, Produce a Quality Product your Proud of, Have Fun, It funny looking back the hard work never bothered or was much of a thought especially on a full stomach and after the days count was done. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With that said, whats below is the original post and description. Thanks for looking and reading it all!!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kettle Corn Equipment and Steel CM Trailer for sale. The Cooker and Dump cart was all hand made. The cooker works extremely well and will produce consistently good tasting product hour after hour, cleanup is easy and it should last you many years and make you Excellent Profits. The bagging cart is on a track that allows the baggers to push it towards the cooker to receive fresh product and then push it forward to get away from the heat. The crowd loved watching the mining cart roll back and forth, it was part of the entertainment that they enjoyed while watching the popping process. The inside of the bagging cart is stainless with holes in the bottom for old maid removal. The old maids fall into a bin that is removed and dumped at the end of the day. The custom Vending tent is a one of a kind build too. All four side will roll up to give view and airflow as needed. The nice thing about having sides like this is that if you are being pounded by the sun mid day you can drop one of the sides for shade or wind relief. The cooker is on wheels and they are removable with pins if desired once in position within the booth. The oil box pictured is included and adds character to the set up as well. Misc other items are included as well, bag boxes and stands, 1 propane tank, regulator and hose, 2 wheeled cart with bag arm for moving popcorn bags and other small related items. The trailer is a STEEL trailer not aluminum. It will last you years with proper care and will survive the hail seasons thus protecting your investment and provide you a secure place to store your equipment too. It has 2 3500 lbs torsion axles under it for a smooth ride. The trailer has very few miles on it as we only did local shows (in town) for a few years, 2" ball and trailer brakes.It could use a wax job, the tires have plenty of tread like I said only town use but they are starting to show weather checking down in the tread. Bearing were packed a few years back but the trailer has not left the property in that time either.A few rock pits and a spot of surface rust by the door as I recall. Please don't confuse this type of trailer with a cheaper aluminum one that will not last, I have owned them for other adventures and they just wont hold up over time. This set up was used as a hobby, weekender, once in a while type business and was very reliable, PROFITABLE and FUN for us. It wouldn't take much for you to be popping at your local events this spring. I hate to see it go and have held on to it hoping to get back to it knowing the money that is possible but life is going a different way for me and its not in the cards anymore. Its time for someone else to use their creativity and put a new twist on this and have some fun making money for themselves or their family like we did. The Business name / branding will have to be changed and all signage in the photos that have the Business name on it are NOT included in the sale. The business name is not in anyway part of the sale as it is incorporated with another business we own and are retaining at this time. I hope if you are interested that you understand and can work with that as that is not negotiable. The equipment was cleaned and freshened up before it was put to storage. All the pictures are from that time. We took them as we packed the trailer for storage. Nothing has been used after that time so the condition will be as you see it in the photos plus a little dust;with the exception of the black rock guard on the trailer that came loose while being stored and was removed. New rock guard will come with the trailer but will not be installed due to the cold weather. It is a simple couple of beers type job and I am sure if you can run this type of fun little cash business you can put the supplied rock guard on.
