This is a statement from the PBI Performance Products (PBI Kevlar fiber manufacturer): Kevlar reddens when exposed to basic UV. I believe DuPont has a flyer that states this fact. If the discoloration is because it has been stored under fluorescent or UV lights, then the strength is uncompromised.
