I can test an ordinary magneto and get a spark I but don't understand this one!  The shaft with brass nuts does NOT turn with armature but can be turned easily by hand. Apparently it's a "Low Tension" mag and has a slip ring and brushes and maybe had some sort of trip mechanism on this end??? It turns over free, bearings seem OK, and I can feel the armature reacting to the magnets. Nothing broken, damaged, or repaired. Threads in brass base are perfect. Weight is about 28 pounds.  Please ask if you have questions! If you can explain to me how to properly test this I'll give it a try! I can't promise it's working at this time but can't see any obvious problems either.
