Leitz infinity-corrected polarizing vertical illuminator for the Orthoplan Pol. microscope.  Mounted on a 51-mm interchange carrier that fits the Orthoplan only (not the Ortholux II).  This unit is equipped with a prism polarizer in immaculate condition. All optics and mechanical workings appear to be in excellent condition. The following description is from a Leitz Orthoplan price/specification list: “Polarized light vertical illuminator with plane glass and compensating prism on common axis, prism polarizer rotatable through 90 degrees; objective changing clutch with centering collars, slot to accept 20 x 6 mm compensators and light entrance tube with field diaphragm, decentering aperture diaphragm and half-stop for oblique illumination” (note: objective centering collars are not provided with this item).           Please e-mail with any questions.
