1812UF7C.18 New Springfield Wire, 10 Watt Adhesive Foil Heating Elements, Part Number 127311-01, or M-12731101, Item Number 20049. Each bid quantity is for a Lot of Two (2) Elements. You may bid / buy any number of lots, up to the total quantity available above. This item was acquired at a salvage freight sale recently, and they were brand new in the original factory box. Granted, it would be nice to ship each piece in a long box so they could remain straight. But since they are three feet long, and since we do have to pack them, we decided to gently fold them and slide a couple of pieces into 5" x 8" Ziplok bags instead. Thus, there will be some gentle folds and crinkled foil here and there, but that should not affect the heating properties of the elements. The foil feels sticky enough to the touch. However, we don't know what you intend to stick them on, or how well the adhesive will bond with your intended surface. You may need to reapply a heavier duty adhesive for rugged applications. So exactly how warm do they get, and what voltage do they use? Well, after five minutes of exhaustive research (outdoors with an extension cord), our product testing staff concluded that they get somewhat warmer than a really bad fever in ambient air. If you put heavy cloth over them to hold in the heat, they will get slightly warmer than that. Not very scientific, but we didn't have anything to measure the heat. We never did achieve any temperature hot enough to burn you. They didn't smoke, burst into flames, or electrocute anyone with standard 120V AC house current, so our researchers have concluded that must be the correct voltage. Based on all available evidence, we are reasonably certain these were designed for keeping a pet snake comfortably warm -- once you get him trained to lie perfectly straight on the strip.
