NEW BIGGER BASE MAGNET to hold securely to any ferrous surface! Woodworker designed LED light, great for a task on any tool that you need good quality light up close. I use two of them for my lathe as you can see from the pix, and one on my bandsaw and drill press. Very little heat comes from this 4 watt unit, however it gives the equivalent light output of a 20 watt halogen! It has a magnetic base for easily attaching to any ferrous surface, and an inline power switch.  The light quality is outstanding, warm white (2700k), unlike most of the other woodworking LED lights in the market which have a bright white to bluish tinge (4000k and up). The small bulb housing (about 1" around) and flexible stem allows you to position it very close or even right into your work. This gives amazingly high light levels to enable very high resolution detailed viewing when brought near to the workpiece! I use a normal lamp for general illumination of my workpiece, but I use these to light up the specific area of the piece I'm working on. Normally it is best to attach the magnetic base at or above your work position, and pull the bulb housing down for positioning. They are very easy to move while you are working.
