For sale is this Magnetic Transfer V-Block made of BRASS w/ STEEL Pins. The block has 2 different V's and measures 1 3/4" long by 1 3/16" tall by 1 1/4" deep. One end was modified to add an end plate as shown.
This is a USED Starrett No.278 1"(25mm) capacity V-Block set. Each block is 1-1/4" square and 1-5/8" long. These are precision ground to extreme accuracy.
This is a steady rest that can be used with a Harig grind all no. 1 or similar spinning grinding fixture, works great when grinding diameter of small pins to keep chatter out. Works by placing block on magnetic chuck and adjusting so pin is in one of the grooves, also adjust weight for right amount of pressure.
