I am sorry for poor photo's. New camera and having trouble. ANyway, I bought this specifically for my old Mak 18 volt lith ion bl830's about a year and a half ago on here. This charger is for that EXACT type of Makita battery. It works fine and did a decent job of recharging two old old and worn bl1830  batteries but I finally had to break down and buy two new ones. I am back to charging those new ones on the original Mak charger and no need for this. I only own one Mak drill and have kinda moved over to Bosch anyway. The fuzzy yellow pic says "18v" on it. The first pic says" For Makita 18v LXT style only" followed with charging directions. The last pic is me trying to show you where the red and black wire rubber coating has  cracked slightly. The copper wire itself is NOT frayed. The fix for this is electrical tape, not hiding anything from anyone. There is some paint and scratches on charger but nothing to amount to much. This charger is able to charge batteries when they have been "locked out"  .This charger is for Makita 18 volt lith ion bl1830 ONLY. DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER BATTERY, EVEN IF ITS ANOTHER MAKITA BATTERY, NO RETURNS. Standard shipping to lower 48. Thanks for stopping by, LDL
