Here is the Marconi 2018 Synthesized Signal Generator, 80 kHz to 520 MHz with GPIB. This signal generator was preferred by many companies, over the HP 8640B, for it's low phase noise. The Marconi 2018 does not require unlock and relock when changing frequency as the 8640B does. This also does not have the Rube Goldberg single speed fan motor with ten wires and a separate controller card. Good luck finding a replacement when this fails in your 8640B.  The pictures show a frequency measurement and then a carrier, followed by 30% AM and then 50 kHz FM deviation on a scope. The Signal Generator works OK at 10 MHz but not at most other frequencies, probably a phase lock loop failure. Only the Marconi 2018 is for sale, the counter and scope are not. Check my other listings for more useful test equipment.
