Use to allow a microcontroller to communicate with any IrDA compliant device through an infrared link. This device sits between the uC and the infrared optics hardware to genarate and receive IrDA signals. Schematic and source code available to show how a PIC microcontroller can talk to a PC, a laptop, or a handheld device (or another PIC) through an IR link, with 115 Kbaud data rate. Code for the PIC and for the master device in 3 different platforms: Windows, Handheld PC, and PalmOS.
