Here is a very nice used Brown & Sharpe solid rod inside micrometer with fitted case. These are the most popular inside micrometers because of their lightness, ease of use , and range. They are very useful for measuring inside diameters of cylinders and rings, and measuring parallel surfaces, etc.
No 2 Brown & Sharpe Stant Line Micrometer 599-2 0 to 1 by .0001 Fixed friction. Don't know how to use this tool. All I can say is that is in very nice shape, rotates smoothly and quietly.
