  Mid 1800s Two Story Hand Hewn Oak Lapp's Cabin This two story cabin stands in central Pennsylvania and dates back to the mid 1800s.  It is hand hewn oak and measures 24 x 30 feet.  The ceilings are 8' downstairs, 7' upstairs, and 7' at the peak of the attic.  It has some of the original flooring, all of the original rafters, and floor joists.  Very wide faces on beams, up to 15". Includes: log walls floor joists for second and third floors original rafters most original flooring (first floor has been replaced with newer material and not all flooring could be salvaged) dismantling, tagging, printing & loading What other materials will I need? If you are creating a structure that you want to remain a “period” piece, we offer a wide variety of reclaimed materials ranging from flooring to beams to ceiling boards.  Most clients will use reclaimed materials in these projects, although it is not necessary.  Once the frame is standing, standard building materials are acceptable and most general contractors can perform all the work involved in taking this project from the shell to the finished product, although we are also happy to provide you with prices for reassembly.
