Mitutoyo - 543-282B Absolute Digimatic Indicator, ID-C Type, in/Metric, #4-48 The Mitutoyo 543-282B Absolute Digimatic electronic indicator gauge, ID-C series, is for measuring short, linear distances in mechanical engineering, machining, and manufacturing applications in harsh environments. It has a measurement range of 0 to 0.5" (0 to 12.7mm), a resolution of 0.00005" (0.001mm), and an accuracy of + or - 0.00012". The LCD screen displays measurements in inches and metric units. The indicator has a go/no-go display that lights green or red, respectively, when upper and/or lower tolerances have been set. This unit has a 3/8" diameter stem and a #4-48 UNF contact point thread mount. It has a flat back for stem mounting or plate mounting on the rear of the indicator. An Absolute electrostatic capacitance-type linear encoder helps prevent overspeed errors and ensure accurate measurements. This model is Ingress Protection certified IP54 for protection against dust and water. Additional functions for this indicator include remote control, max/min/runout value holding, origin set, preset, zero set, counting direction switching, and alerts for low voltage, counting value composition, overflow, and tolerance limit setting errors. The measuring force is 2.0 Newtons (N) or less. This unit comes with a built-in power cord with exposed wires at the end for wiring into a device such as a programmable logic controller (PLC) (sold separately) for power and communications.
