MULLARD ECC32 TUBES PAIR 13D2 CV181 B65 CV1988 6SN7GT On offer is a well-matched pair of vintage ECC32 double triode tubes made in England by MULLARD. Take NOTICE: those tubes are as rare as chooks’ teeth The tubes have the BVA print, however the production date codes are not legible, otherwise the tubes are in perfect physical condition with tight brown micanol bases, very good getter flushes and excellent print. There are no acid etched codes; therefore, the tubes would have been produced in late 1940s to very early 1950s. Tested on B&K 747A dynamic mutual conductance tube tester the tubes returned the following readings; Tube # 1 – 2000 / 2030 µmhos Tube # 2 – 2010 / 2040 µmhos While tested in my amplifiers, the tubes sound absolutely grand, they are dynamic yet sweet, detailed and clean, with plenty of air and stage depth. There are no Shorts, no Grid Emission and No Gas. When considering vintage tubes the potential buyer must realize that these objects are very delicate electromechanical devices in this case being over 70 years old, so no guaranty of any kind can be offered.
