The SCXI-1180 is installed in a single slot of the SCXI chassis, and connects to the 50-pin male breakout connector of an SCXI cable assembly, such as an SCXI-1349 or SCXI-1353 connected to an SCXI module in an adjacent slot. Alternatively, if you wish to access I/O signals of additional DAQ boards, you can cable a separate DAQ board to the 50-pin rear connector of the SCXI-1180 with the appropriate cable.
