This piece is all primed and ready for painting. Primer coat will accept both interior and exterior paints and stains. The figurehead is made of polyurethane molding foam. They are rigid, but lightweight, same as our painted line. Made by NORTH COAST GALLERY CLASSICS of Port Clinton, Ohio. North Coast Gallery Classics is one of only two companies that make these figureheads, and the only one offering an unpainted version. Originally made by Nettle Creek Industries, the figurehead line was reincarnated in 1993 after being out of production for over twenty years. We have had our figureheads featured on the TV shows Trading Spaces Kids, One Tree Hill, and Twentieth Century Fox's The Finder. Two Jenny Lind figureheads are hanging in one of Disney's new restaurants in Orlando, Florida. Some are features at the Colonial American Exhibit at Universal Studios, Japan. We recently supplied the City of Salem, Massachusetts with unpainted Jenny Lind Figureheads for their Salem Beautification project. One of our Britannia figureheads was seen on a recent episode of Pawn Stars mounted on the front of a ship float. Our latest figurehead fashioned from our Britannia. This will please mermaid lovers. She is 34 inches high and projects from the wall at a 30-degree angle and is 18 inches wide at the widest point. Made of lightweight polyurethane molding foam, distressed to look like old wood. Perfect decoration for a bar, rec room or seafood restaurant. OK for outdoors, too. Use a paint brush or air brush. Let your imagination go!!
