Item recovered locally, and sold AS IS. This auction is for a NEW Intermec Leather Holder for CN51, CN50, Slim Intermec Hand Scanners. I just sold the NEW (other) holder, and was not in original package, but unpackaged. This one for sale now is in original package and will not be taken out, so picture 1 is the actual item you will get. Kept pictures of other item that was sold to show you what it looks like. So picture 1 is the picture of the item for sale in this auction, and the rest are pictures are of the holder that was just sold. This is a very nice leather holster that fits the Intermec CN51 and CN50 nicely, without sticking out of the top, possibly scraping up the handheld or having it snag on something and fall out. It is basically two pieces - one piece that actually holds the handheld device, and another piece that is padded and can snap off the other piece in a matter of seconds (see pic 8). The pad will help absorb any shock in case you bump into anything, since it is somewhat spongy, but still strong. Has the INTERMEC name stamped into the very front  leather strap (which can come out completely if unsnapped on both sides). All the leather has a felt lining on the other side to protect the handheld. Leather covered panels have hard inserts so it keeps its shape and helps protect handheld. This can also hold other Intermec handhelds or other handheld scanners that are slim, but still has Intermec name on strap. The opening where the handheld goes in is approximately 1 1/8" x 3 1/8" and approximately 7 1/4" deep at top of front lip. Inside on the bottom is a small rectangular base that keeps the handheld from bottoming out and keeps it off the very bottom of the holder, sticking up about 1/2". Can see in picture 5. When the CN51 or CN50 is inserted into the holder, it is pretty snug, but not tight, so handheld will not fly out when bending over. Picture 10 shows the CN51 inside the holder, while picture 11 shows the CN50 inside. They won't stick up and get scratched up when working and bumping up against items that might damage it. There are a few ways that you can get this out of the holder when on a belt and you don't want to take it off your belt to use it. The pad AND the holder itself both have a belt loop on back, so you can use just the holder itself without the pad if you unsnap the INTERMEC embossed strap and secure it to the pad for safe keeping. Now you have just the holder without the pad. Or keep pad on and use with pad. In any case, with or without pad, if you look at the holder itself, on the side it has a rectangular hole in both sides at the bottom. If you look at picture 2 and picture 4, you can see this opening on the right side of picture, at the top in pic 2 and at the bottom in pic 4. To get the CK50 or CK51 out of the holder, just stick your finger in this hole and push up on the handhelds bottom to slide it up enough to grab it out of the holder. Remember the 1/2" rectangle at the bottom of the holder? It holds the handheld 1/2" from the bottom, so you have room to put your finger in there! It's a little harder for the CK50 since it is a little shorter, but it can be done. You could also add another foam pad on top of this other built in booster to bring your handheld up a little further. If your finger is too large, you could always add a piece of velcro or other tape to the back of the unit so you can just grab the piece of velcro/tape and retrieve the handheld that way. One other way to get it out of the holder is shown in picture 12. While the holder is belted to your waist with the pad, just unsnap the holder on either side of the pad and the holder itself will swing down, still secured with the bottom two snaps. Just unsnap the sides and bring the holder down until it slides out!  Or just unsnap all the snaps and take holder off the pad and take it out that way. Very easy. This is a very nice item and will keep your expensive handheld very secure when working in harsh environments. If you feel this is still unsafe and it might slip out the top (upside down on a jungle jim), just get velcro straps and mount across the top so there is no way it will fall out. If you are not satisfied with its quality, return for a refund of your end of auction price, you pay return shipping. I'm pretty sure you will like it though. Lightweight, but still rugged. Low shipping rate due to under 13 ounce shipping weight. Very nice item. Thanks for your time. Buyer pays shipping cost, please see shipping statement before making any payment, thanks!
