If you currently have a Heidelberg Printmaster press then you are already familiar with these ink fountains. If you have a Quickmaster press, then you are adjusting your fountains with a series of "adjustment screws", the old fashion way! There's nothing wrong with doing it the old way, but the press people I deal with really appreciate the ease and functionality of the newer system that uses the "keys". When I first thought of selling these fountains to a Quickmaster press owner I thought I would have to include the fountain rollers as well. These rollers are different in the two presses. The Quickmaster press uses a hard rubber roller, and the Printmaster press uses an all steel roller. I recently found out that the older hard rubber roller from the Quickmaster can be used to replace a damaged steel fountain roller of a Printmaster. If either roller will work with this fountain, then you should be able to remove the older fountain, and replace it with the newer set up. Is this going to improve your operation or speed of operation enough to make this transition worthwhile? I don't know, but my guess is that sooner or later I'll find one of my local customers that will like the idea. Here's your chance!
