The DS Instruments SG6000L compact RF Signal Generator enables users to generate a high quality sine-wave easily and at low cost. The output covers 7 octaves from 24 to 6000 MHz or to 12000 MHz with the optional internal doubler. The produced sine-wave is fully synthesized using modern fractional N synthesis . The step size of the non-doubled RF output varies from a maximum of ~3 KHz to less than 40 Hz, depending on band of operation. The synthesized source can accept an external 10 MHz reference OR it can use its own internal 10 MHz. Output power is typically above +7 dBm and can be turned ON/OFF via USB commands. The crisp OLED display provides useful feedback for the user, and front control buttons provide a quick alternative to USB control.
