Up for sale is a Newport 818-BB-30 high speed, battery biased InGaAs PIN diode detector. The unit has been tested with an oscilloscope at 1Mohm and 50ohm input impedance with a standard 940nm IR LED fed by a signal generator and the output of the detector looked okay. Aside from basic functionality testing, we are unable to perform further tests of the detector due to a lack of specialized equipment (fast risetime IR signal source). The detector's BNC connector is clean and free of dings and comes with a dust cap. The threaded insert has 8-32 threads. Coin cell batteries are accessible via the rear cover (attached via two Philips screws) and should be replaced with new batteries before any serious use of the detector. 818-BB-30 Specifications: Rise/Fall Time   < 500 ps Impedance        50 ohms Saturation          2 mA Responsitivity    0.6 A/W @ 1300 nm If you have any questions or would like a specific test performed let us know and we will do our best to provide further information or tests of the item.
