 I AM SELLING TWO TOL-O-MATIC Float-A-Shaft GEARBOXES WHICH POWERED THE FEED-WORKS OF A 36" NORTHFIELD PLANER THAT FROM THE 80'S.  ONE OF THEM IS BRAND NEW THE OTHER IS LABELED "GEARS GOOD" AND HAS SLIGHTLY WORN BUSHINGS.  THE BOXES ARE NOT LABELED, BUT AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE DIAGRAM, THAT APPARENTLY THIS IS A 0240 RH GEARBOX WITH 1-1/2" BORE AND 1:1 RATIO. YOU MAY ALSO SEE IN THE PHOTO THAT THE NEW GEARBOX HAS "240" WRITTEN ON THE HOUSING, AND THAT SEEMS TO FIT WITH THE 0240 RH  DESIGNATION ON THE PAPERWORK.  THESE MIGHT WORK WITH OTHER EQUIPMENT THAT USES 1-1/2" SHAFTS.  I AM CERTAIN THAT NORTHFIELD USED THEM AS AN OFF-THE-SHELF COMPONENT FOR THEIR PLANERS.  THE GEARBOX IN THE PHOTOS WITH THE PLASTIC SLEEVES HOLDING IN THE KEYS IS THE NEW ONE, THE OTHER TWO PHOTOS ARE THE USED ONE.
