This is a real nice original cam shaft for a Gilson hit and miss gas engine.  I believe it is NOS, new old stock, and has never been used.  Itis in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind.  It measures 1 inch in diameter where the cam gear would run and is about 5 7/16 inches long overall.  The tab for the pivot of the detent is about 1/2 x 1 1/16 inches with a 3/8 pivot hole.  It may fit several sizes of Gilson engines so please measure your engine to be sure it fits your application.  It is complete with the nut and I would say it  is ready to be used in an engine.
