This is a high end flow meter 4-20 mA output and for corrosive liquids. Was intended for seawater use as there is I moving parts that come in contact with the meter it uses a magnetic pulse to calculate flow in gpm's or what ever you would like. I never installed because my saltwater tank was not permitted. The cost as I just got off the company's website is $1500 total and that's today's price I paid closer to $2000 however costs may have com down on it over the past 1.5 year. I have the 3002 meter head which is $800 and 2inch sch-80 pvc pipe run' saddle $200 and transmitter which is $400 in an all in one package. This would output to a simple lcd readout, PLC, recorder, SCADA ect. I was going to have it read out to an online application to view realtime flow sat via IPhone which would be a simple setup and there are videos on how to get this meter online via app.
