PANVERMIN Panvermin (Albendasoium) wormer cattle, sheep and goats 30 boluses. 1. NAME OF THE MARKETING AUTHORISATION HOLDER Name: Golashpharma LTD 2. NAME OF THE VETERINARY MEDICINAL PRODUCT PANVERMIN Composition: Albendasoium 0,3 g in one bolus. Contents in one tablet: Active substance: Albendasole 0,3 g and excipients: lactose, corn starch, povidone, magnesium stearate, and aerosil. Pharmacological properties: Albendazol is the one of the most active and broad spectrum anthelmintic from the group of the benzimidazoles. It is active against gastro-intestinal (Haemonchus spp., Ostertagia spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Capillaria spp., Nematodirus spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Strongyloides spp.) and pulmonary (Dictyocaulus filaria, Dictyocaulus viviparus, Protostrongylus spp.) nematodes (less susceptible are Trichuris spp), cestodes (Moniezia expansa, Moniezia benedeni, Moniezia denticulata) and trematodes (Fasciola hepatica, Dicrocoelium lanceatum). Albendazol acts against mature and immature forms of the nematodes, tapewarms and mature form of trematodes. In nematodes and fascioles it has also ovaricidal action. Indication: For therapeutical and prophylactic deworming at gastro-intestinal and pulmonary nematodes , moniezia, thysaniezia, fasciolosa and dicroceliosa in sheep and goats. Contraindications: It is not recommended during the copulation period and in the first month of the pregnancy. Adverse reaction: In therapeutic doses Panvermin is well tolerated and does not causes side effects. Overdose: In sheep no intolerable effects are observed even after 5 – 10 multiple overdosing - 37,5 mg/kg bw. In higher doses (53 mg/kg bw) transient loss of appetite is observed. When applied during copulation and the first 3-4 weeks of the pregnancy it can provoke teratogenic effects. Drug interactions and other interactions (with ingredients of animal feed and other): Not proven and observed physicochemical and pharmaco-toxilogical compatibility with other medicines, feed ingredients and other foods. Administration: Applies only for prescription from veterinarian. Internal, orally. Only for veterinary use. Dosage: For treatment: of gastro-intestinal and pulminary nematodes and moniezia –one bolus for 50 - 60 kg bw (5,6 mg/kg bw from the active substance); for treatment of chronic fasciolosa – one bolus for 40 kg bw ( 7,5 mg/ kg bw ) ; for treatment of dicroceliosa – 2 boluses for 40 kg bw ( 15 mg/ kg bw). Withdrawal period: For meat – 10 days , Animals that are intended to be used for human consumption must not be slaughtered during treatment. Animals may be slaughtered for human consumption only ten days after the last treatment. for milk – 5 days. Using the product is recommended during the dry period. Do not consumed the milk during the treatment with Albendazole. Used five days after the last treatment. It's an original product manufactured and licensed under the control of Bulgarian FDA.
