POLIVERMIN – L 30 boluses for the treatment and prophylaxis of chronicle fasciolosis, paramphistomosis, gastro-intestinal and pulmonal nematodosis in cattle and small ruminants: caprine, sheep and other. Remove mature and developed immature forms of nematodes. 1. NAME OF THE MARKETING AUTHORISATION HOLDER Name: Golashpharma LTD 2. NAME OF THE VETERINARY MEDICINAL PRODUCT POLIVERMIN – L boluses CONTENT: Levamizole Hydrochloridum 300 mg, Oxyclozanide 600 mg and excipients:Lactose monohydrate, Povidone, talc, magnesium stearate and Aerosil 200. INDICATIONS: For the treatment and prophylaxis of chronicle fasciolosis, paramphistomosis, gastro-intestinal and pulmonal nematodosis in cattle and small ruminants: caprine, sheep and oth. Remove mature and developed immature forms of nematodes. The product is effective against the following parasites: Practical work 100% on Fasciola spp. found in bile ducts of the liver. Destroys mature forms of Paramphistomatomum spp. In rennet: Haemonchus, Ostertagia and Trichostrongylus spp. In the intestines: Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Nematodirus spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Chabertia ovina, Bunostomum spp. In the lungs: Dictyocaulus spp. It's effective against immature and adult Ostertagia and treatment of Type II ostertagiasis in cattle, is not effective in inhibiting larval Ostertagia (Pre – Type II Ostertagiasis )in cattle, which requires possibly a latter follow – up treatment. In sheep is usually effective against inhibited/ restrained larvae of Haemonchus, Ostertagia and Trichostrongylus axei. Levamisole is given as adjuvant to enhance immune protection against viral infections and chronic relapsing disease. It occurs as an effective alternative treatment in cases of developed resistance to other chemically unrelated anthelmintic products. CONTRANDICATIONS: Contraindicated is a combination product with organophosphorous compounds and their application 14 days before and after implementation of Polivermin L. However, animals can be treated simultaneously with organophosphorous bandages for the treatment of tumor formations of larvae of flies on the type Oestridae, only if they contain one of the following ingredients: phosmet, fenthion, metrifonate. DRUG AND OTHER FORMS OF INTERACTION: Do not gives together with phenothiazine, metpiridin and procaine, in animals with sever renal or hepatic impairment, in severely debilitated animals. Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to the active ingredients. UNDESIRABLE/ADVERS/ REACTIONS: At normal dosage levels of Oxyclozanide, cattle may exhibit slight softening of the stool and in some animals increase the frequency of defecation and transient loss of appetite. The effects of overdose of Oxyclozanide are slowness diarhea, anorexia and weight loss. These effects are sometimes amplified in animals with sever liver damage and/ or dehydration during dosing. Under normal dosage levels of Levamisole animals rarely exhibit any side effects. The effects of Levamisole overdosage are transient and include head shaking, salivation and slight muscle tremors, and more recently seen in cattle than in sheep. USE DURING PREGNANCY AND LACTATION: The product can be administered to young and pregnant animals. It should be always given importance to the physical condition, especially any animal in late pregnancy and/ or stress state of the weather conditions, inadequate nutrition, limited space in the pen, poor care and others. OVERDOSE: In cases of overdosage are observed slowness, some softening of the stool in sheep, and some time diarrhea, anorexia and weight loss in cattle. These effects are enhanced in animals with sever liver damage and/ or dehydration during the treatment. If necessary as antidote may be used atropine. DOSAGE AND MODE OF ADMINISTRATION: It is applied only after doctors prescription. It is administered only perorally, and for veterinary use in the following doses: 1 tablet for 40 kg/m. It is applied directly and individually for each target animal. No special hunger or food diet befor and after the application is needed. WITHDRAWAL PERIOD Meat – 28 days after the last treatment with the product. Animals that are intended to human consumption must not be slaughtered during treatment. Meat from animals can be consumed by humans at least 28 days after the last treatment. Do not use in lactating animals which are producing milk for human consumption.
