Up for auction are these two incredible 1849 Reports from the Commissioner of Patents to the 31st United States Congress 1st session of the House of Representatives published in 1850. The first volume, Part I, relates to Arts and Manufactures patents and the second, Part II, relates to Agriculture patents. Both are full of incredible patent applications and information. I have added photos from the Manufactures volume on propulsion of vessels comparing it to natural animal propulsion. Wonderful reading and priceless historical information. Both books in good condition. All intact but bindings are loose, pages brown/yellow considering the age. Please see photos for condition before bidding. What you see is what you are bidding on.
