The sump is made of brushed stainless steel 304 for resistance to corrosion and high temperatures, and the head is made of nickel-plated brass for corrosion resistance. The head has 3/4" female National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) threaded input and output connections, and both cellulose and nitrile butadiene rubber (Buna-N) gaskets provide a watertight seal. The housing can be used with standard double open end (DOE) filter cartridges (sold separately).
