Hello! You are bidding on Polimaster PDM2 Personal gamma radiation dose meter from the old stock of Russian nuclear facility. It is also sensitive to beta radiation with energy 0.5 MEv and higher. It was made by Polimaster - world's famous vendor of radiation detection equipment. Please see PDM2 in action here. PDM2 is made for export and comes with instruction manual in English, German, Italian and Russian and contains four new LR43 batteries. Laboratory-checked in 2 uSv/h, 5 uSv/h and 8 uSv/h fields for calibration. PDM2 uses well-known SBM-20 Geiger tube with energy-compensating filter to improve accuracy. The radiation measurement circuit inside PDM2 is very energy-efficient: it consumes less than 0.5 mA of current during measurement, so battery life is more than 10,000 measurements! SBM-20 Geiger tube is very reliable and used in many military and civil-use dosimeters and radiometers. PDM2 is very simple to use: just press the start button and see the readings on LCD after 36 seconds. Automatic power off in 30...90 seconds after last measurement finished. PDM2 have sound indication of detected particles to ease search of radioactive or radioisotope contaminated things. Technical specifications: Gamma - radiation energy range 50 kEv - 1.5 MEv (accuracy guaranteed), up to 3 MEv Dose rate range 0.01 - 9.99 uSv/h with overload indication Measurement time 36 seconds Working temperature -5 to +40 degrees Celsius or 23 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit It uses 4 pcs.
