Hard to find one in this excellent condition! Classic 1950s uranium prospecting scintillator in working condition.  Precision Radiation Instruments marketed this model in the mid 1950s and more information can be found via Google and the orau.org web site.  The case is clean inside and out with no corrosion.  The circuit board is shiny and there is no corrosion on the battery terminals.  The HeNe pilot light on top next to the meter works to indicate power is on, the unit zeros, the meter is clear and responsive, and the original reference source test disk is included.  All measurement ranges respond to indicate activity and both fast /slow response settings work.  The range knob clicks nicely into each range.  The carry case (with strap) and manual are original, and added 'Prospecting for Uranium' guide is vintage. Included is a set of working batteries (replacements can be found on the web).  Rare for this age, the Sodium Iodide scintillation crystal is clear (see photo).   The circuit board photo shows the internal relaxation oscillator NE-2 lamp glowing.  A great addition for a collector of vintage scintillation or Geiger counters or radioactive mineral hounding hobbyist.  Shipping weight is about 11 lbs, and the buyer will need to pay shipping cost to your zip code destination.  The unit will be bubble wrapped and securely packed and shipped via UPS ground.  USA destinations only.  Questions invited.
