The black aluminum surface provides visual contrast and accommodates up to 48 standard 3 x 1 in. (76 x 25mm) slides. Steel body with baked silicone enamel finish is insulated on five sides and contains a low-drift metals heated heater, adjustable bimetallic thermostat, neon pilot light for heater operation, and power switch.
