"Principles of Metal Casting", second edition, was co-authored by Richard W. Heine, Chairman, Dept of Minerals and Metal Engineering, U. of Wisconsin, Madison, Carl R. Loper, Jr., Associate Professor of Metallurgical Engineering, U. of Wisconsin, Madison and Philip C. Rosenthal, Dean, College of Applied Science and Engineering, U. of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.  It was published and copyrighted in 1955 and 1967 by McGraw-Hill, Inc., and carries a Library of Congress Catalog Card Number 66-29476.  The pictures above show the actual dust cover, the book itself, the Contents page and five pairs of pages from the book.  The book is well illustrated with about half the pages including a black and white photograph, chart or diagram.  The stated objective of this book is to "appeal to persons in the educational field and to those active in metal-casting practice in foundries and be useful as a general reference".  It is a book that will tell you everything you have ever wanted to know about metal casting.  As stated earlier, the book is a hardcover with a dust cover, measures 6 by 9 by 1 1/2 inches and is 736 pages long. The book is from the library of the Inland Empire Railway Historical Society / Inland Northwest Rail Museum, a non-profit in Spokane and Reardan, WA, who will receive all proceeds from this sale.  Free USPS media mail shipping and tracking in the U.S. is included in the price.
