Up for your consideration is a Protimeter "Concretemaster" Moisture Meter manufactured by the Sir John Gallwey Instruments Limited in England.  I would guess it was made in the 1960's.  I cannot find much information on the internet about this item except there is one displayed in the physics museum at the University of Queensland in Australia and that now the company is owned by GE!  The scale on the face of the meter has a scale with numbers ranging from 4 to 11 or 12 for 1 to 3 mix, 1 to 4 mix, 1 to 5 mix and an arbitrary scale.  It is supposed to measure the percent of moisture in the concrete mix.  I tested it and it seems to perform as it should.  I took a cloth and dampened it and the needle responded. As I soaked the cloth more the needle responded higher accordingly.  The manual had a self check  note to press both contact points together and the needle should go from the far left position to the far right and it does so. There is also a glass thermometer that is, also, moisture sensitive. The instrument comes with the original instruction book and the original leather case. Feel free to ask questions. Have a great day.
