This is a quartz crystal in a vacuum sealed glass tube with an octal base, made by Northern Engineering laboratories of Burlington, WI. The glass is marked T-12A, 1420KC. I connected it to a Sencore FC51 frequency counter using jumper clips and a reading of 1.42024 MHz showed on the display, which indicates that the crystal will still resonate when connected to a suitable oscillator circuit and the resonant frequency is close to what is marked on the glass.
