Vintage Direct From Scalamandre Weaving Mill in Long Island City, NY Before Its Relocation To South Carolina Image HEIGHT: 36 3/4"h Image WIDTH: 49 3/4"w Total HEIGHT: 43 1/4"h Total WIDTH: 64 1/4"w This is an AMAZING and GORGEOUS LARGE authentic and ORIGINAL Scalamandre SILK SCREEN created expressly to hand-block wallpaper at their textile mill in Long Island City, NY before they relocated to South Carolina. The DAMASK design is EXTRAORDINARY in it's BEAUTY - it's an UNUSUAL and REMARKABLE OPPORTUNITY to be able TO SEE the nooks and crannies that make up the shapes of the damask's design! This was one of two screens for this particular design as you can tell from the number 1 seen in one of the two boxes along the edge of the screen. It's a large sized screen that has been removed from it's frame - making it much easier to ship, for sure! One of the photos shows the screen rolled up - in which you can also see the hand written number for this particular design or run. This is the ONLY SILK SCREEN I have to offer!! (I thought I had one more left, but after Hurricane Sandy, many things disappeared...who knows where it might show up, if at all!) At the liquidation sale that occured before the mill moved, most of the items for sale were primarily weaving related.
