Up for bids is a rare vintage H. A. Lowe Last Word indicator. This collectible was probably made in the 1930's. H. A. Lowe was bought out by L. S. Starrett around 1935 and continued to use the same design and Last Word name. Lowe was started in Waltham, Mass in 1902 and they made an indicator that was of the same construction of the type "D" but about twice the size and instead of a dial it had a metal scale with a pointer only traveling about 180 degrees over it. In 1907 they moved to Cleveland and came out with the "last word" in 1914.
