The item for sale is a Reichert Jung Model 150 microscope in good working condition. It is binocular with a pair of 10X W. F. (wide field) eyepieces (Cat. 138), and the head can be rotated a full 360 degrees. It is equipped with four infinity-corrected achromatic objectives: 4X/.01, 10X/.25, 45X/.66 and 100X/1.25. It has a focusable substage condenser with a fully operational iris diaphragm. There is a nice mechanical stage to hold and position the specimen. The illuminator is built into the base and is in good working order. The bulb cannot be guaranteed to survive the shipping, but is a 15W light bulb with a standard E27 base. These are readily available from hardware and other stores. Cosmetically this microscope is good, although not perfect, with some minor scratches and dings present. In addition, some of the paint has been lost from the numbers and letters on the objectives, although they can generally still be read. To evaluate the cosmetic condition further, please take a close look at the photographs. Because of the rugged design and construction of this model of microscope, it has been very popular for classroom use, and because of its nice optics, it has also found its way into a lot of laboratories. This microscope is guaranteed to be in good working condition, or I will refund your money.
