This listing is for Used Reichert Univar Met Polarizing Microscope. This is Professional Research polarizing microscope with universal microscope features. The microscope is Universal and is in its top configuration featuring 4 light sources (100W halogen and 200W HBO mercury lamps are on board plus two more slots available for external spectral lamps like Sodium Spectral lamp, Flash Lamp, Xenon arc lamp etc). Among the other features are the set of interchangeable filters embedded into EPI light path (Neutral density filters I, II and III, green filter, empty slot for retractable standard 50mm filter upto 11mm thick, retractable neutral density filter with iris diaphragm), set of switchable internal filters inside light sources switch box, mixer and switch box of light sources (everything works fine and smoothly), retractable heat filters inside the box (2 pieces), additional slots for standard Reichert sliders (one slot for EPI optical filters and functional elements at EPI condenser side, one slot for standard 6x20 sliders like quarter wave plate, birefringence compensator and analyzers, one slot for Dark field/ Bright field/ Phase contrast slider (slider is included), one slot is for polarization analyzer 35x7mm - optional rotatable analyzer is included (please see pictures), one slot for standard field of view inserts 30x6mm, one slot for DIC analyzer 28x7mm). The microscope is capable of bright/dark field observations with full set of six bright/dark field objectives included into the nose-piece and capable to function in the reflective/transmissive mode. Included are 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x, 100x (0.9NA Dry), 100x (1.25NA oil) EPI objectives and 10x wide field eyepieces. Additional industrial standard objective(s) and 30mm eyepieces are negotiable at extra charge upon request. Also included is switchable phase contrast measurement set and the microscope is capable of DIC observation and analysis but DIC slider is not on board. The microscope is equipped with polarization measurements and analysis kit: retractable analyzer, wave plates and standard 6x20mm slot for sliders embedded into nose piece as well as three camera ports for stereo+ picturing and one port spectrometer/photomultiplier, projection screen or CCD camera. Two camera ports at present are occupied with Polaroid instant picture camera for paper pictures and standard 36mm Leica cameras for filming. Additionally included is fiber optical external camera controller for camera exposure control. Univar microscope features Trinocular system which allows to connect video camera, spectrophotometer or big 12in projection screen. In itself the microscope is quite compact and measures approx 60Wx54Hx67D cm. In general, it takes the same or even less space as Zeiss Photo Microscope but is much more convenient, functional, professional and offers all benefits of industrial standard microscopes like extended field of view (26.5-29mm vs 19.5mm for RMS) and much better image quality as well as aberration correction. We used this microscope on a daily basis and it was serviced regularly. All documentation, Manuals in Swedish, English and German together with service records and calibration tables are included. Also included some spares for microscope (bulbs, sockets, tools and samples to test images). The microscope was purchased together with the metal table with power supplies, but the table is not offered. I can include Zeiss West 100W/12V halogen lamp adjustable power supply to make the microscope instantly running. We have to curtail our research activities now and this wonderful piece of equipment must go to a new owner. Microscope is quite heavy (70-80kg together with power supplies and controllers) and requires freight. Local pickup is free and always welcome.
