In this configuration a tailstock can also be used, thus holding the work piece "between centers." Application: Horizontal/Vertical Rotary Tables are extremely useful accessories for a milling machine. Simple to operate, they allow easy work handling and have many varied applications including: Milling : Milling curved profiles and angled faces relative to a centre line. The worm is now disconnected from the worm wheel drive, the table is Free to turn independently to the crank handle and the work piece may now be Accurately aligned. To re-engage simply turn the zero collar in the clockwise Direction and re-tighten the locking handle.
