Skytron 18ST Portable Surgical Exam Light Floor Lamp Here is a top of the line Skytron intensity controlled, fixed focus minor surgical/ exam light in perfect operating condition. The lamp in the pictures is the actual lamp. I guarantee it will not be DOA. It has a white finish with stainless steel fittings which give the light a stylish Look. To fit any decor or color scheme. Skytron is the best and this one is no exception. 3600 footcandles at 36" and 36,700 lux. On close inspection the light head a multiple small dings in the metal but still works as good as it ever did. Great addition to any Physicians office, dental office, clinic or exam room or perfect for anywhere an adjustable cool bright light is needed. Makes an excellent spotlight and would be great as a portable studio light. Fitted with the famous Skytron diffuser filter assembly lens. The lens is two part with a flat glass diffuser on the inside and a clear convex outside lens resulting in a focused beam yet gentle on the eyes. I spoke with Skytron technical support and this lamp is still supported and replacement bulbs are available. The bulb in this lamp only cost $18.75 so bulb replacement is reasonable when the time comes. The head is 7” diameter and swivels on a telescoping pole with a wheeled stand. Really portable with a long cord, really stable and rolls easily from one location to another. The light is a cool light design and comes with a light intensity control and onboard fuse. The telescoping feature is easily adjusted by the loosening the hand nut and simply lifting the head to the desired height. Point the head in any direction and it stays there from straight down to straight up and everything in between. The halogen bulb can be changed without tools. The lamp bulb is working great and the light is extremely bright. The intensity control is working properly. The head swivel hardware is working properly and the telescoping feature is functioning as designed. All wheels are rolling smoothly. This is a used light and the white finish does show some sign of previous use in the form of a few scratches and there are a multiple small dings in the head but the light is still presentable and it works as good as it ever did. The base is good with some chips in the finish. AGE: Skytron told me it was likely made around 1990 give or take a couple years.
