SPL Goldmike 9844 SPL GOLDMIKE 9844 The GoldMike is a dual-channel, dual-powered microphone preamplifiercombining pure solid state and Class A tube stages in the preamplification chain for best-of-both-worlds results. With the GoldMike preamplification up to 72 dB is possible – a full tube preamp can’t begin to reach these values. The tube stage provides a constant, additional gain of +6 dB, so that the tube sound component remains constant regardless of amplification. The familiar sound qualities of tubes are combined with modern demands for high and linear amplification as well as effective common mode rejection. An enormous dynamic range of 111 dB and quiet operation qualifies the GoldMike as an ideal partner for high-resolution HD recording systems. The fast rise time of tubes ensures an airy and open tonal character. Two separate Class A mono blocks guarantee perfect channel separation and best spatial definition for stereo recordings—that’s why the GoldMike excels even in difficult choral group recordings.
