Resectoscope working element. Nickel-plated brass and nylon carrier for cutting loop, examining telescope, and 24, 26 or 28 Fr. irrigating sheaths (all sold separately). Instrument has long thin distal end with two open channels, one wide and one narrow, for loop and telescope, and a narrow tube for irrigation outflow; C-catch for sheaths and an outflow stopcock are both located distal to open rectangular rack-and-pinion loop carriage; vertical nickel-plated brass crosspiece extends below toothed bar rack and has rotating nylon handle; rounded nylon top of crosspiece has electrical connection terminal; thumbscrew on proximal end of carriage holds telescope; marked: "STERN MCCARTHY -- PAT.
