For sale is a single (1) glazed non-woven polyester felt filter bags for liquid filtration and rated at one micron (nominal). They have a steel ring sewn into the top of the bag and have a glazed ("singed" or "eggshell") smooth outer surface to prevent fiber migration. They are industry standard size 1 (7" diameter & 16" long). These premium bags are excellent for fine filtration and are much higher in efficiency than most filter bags sold today. Due to their higher efficiency, it is highly recommended that these bags be used in a closed, pressurized system such as a filter housing, especially with thicker solutions or solutions with a high particulate concentration. Cleaning and reuse is also not recommended. Please note that these bags do have a strap sewn across the mouth of the bags to facilitate removal from a filter housing. Polyester is fairly good with a maximum heat of 200-220 degrees F but is generally not as chemical resistant as polypropylene. These are excellent bags for filtering water or oil based solutions that are not too viscous. More information can be seen at the "Products" tab on our website at www.sccfilters.com .
