Powers up and the meter works for Line Adjustment. However, I couldn't get a tube to light up or test (I randomly picked a 6SN7GT that was handy for testing, didn't try any other tubes or sockets.) The "COND." light lights up if the jumper is connected between those two terminals. I couldn't get the “TUBE" light to light up. The shorting jumper that's inserted between the Noise Test/Cond. Test plugs isn’t original, appears to be made from a piece of a coat hanger. I'm selling the unit AS IS, no returns or price adjustments. Good cosmetic condition, some scratches, dings, and gouges on wooden case, some rust on the case’s metal hardware. Two of the rubber "feet" are missing. Control panel shows some wear, but looks pretty good overall. Has sockets to test antique and modern tube types. Includes two old somewhat crumbling chart pages with Operating Instructions, Notes, and some data for tube testing. Data for a few popular vintage audio tube types (50, 6L6, 6SL7, 6SN7, 12AU7) and many vintage radio tubes are on the chart, but because the unit’s so old (not sure of the exact age, but I’m guessing late 1940s-mid ‘50s) there isn’t data for more modern tube types, although Superior may have possibly issued supplements as time went on...I don’t have any and not sure if you’d be able to find them if they ever existed. U.S. 110-120 volts only. ?It’s possible that I just don’t know how to use this and that it works at least somewhat better than I’m able to determine, but it’s safe to assume that it will need at least some work, possibly even quite a bit, I don't know.
