YOU ARE BUYING 1 USED working TECOM BEAM STEERING UNIT PART NUMBER 817492-002 The TECOM BSU provides an alternate control interface between the SATCOM avionics and the phased array antenna.  The BSU receives steering command inputs from the SDU.  The BSU takes this input from the SDU and generates the commands required to cause the phased array antenna to electronically steer the generated beam to the satellite in geostationary orbit.  As the aircraft changes attitude, the input and output signals at the BSU change and the antenna beam dynamically changes to the required azimuth and elevation to maintain the SATCOM link.  The TECOM BSU is required when using the TECOM LNA/Diplexer.
