TEK 2430 is a DSO from the repairable era (circa 1987, made same time as 2445A, 2465A, 2467) and with its TV Sync Option 5, cost over $7000 new. It is the predecessor of the 2430A (2430A has similar capabilities but added some convenience features such as auto-scaling and auto measure, 2430 has curser measurements). Serial # is B011544. If you don't need the video option, I also have a 2430 w/o for $100 less, listed concurrently.   Will be shipped freshly calibrated, with instructions manual (similar 2430A) on a CD, cord, and 14 days guaranty.  1st photo shows a 1Vpp positive going 1KHz squarewave signal into CH1. 2nd photo shows that a signal can be stored just at the instant cord is removed. 3rd photo shows an NTSC gray scale (staircase) signal fed into CH2. 4th photo shows video signal stored (cord is removed). 5th photo shows self tests pass (doesn't prove everything is fine). 6th photo is of rear. 7th photo is of right side . 8th photo is of left side. Photos were taken before refurb/cal. Appearance will improve during refurb process (provided you pay BIN price; photos were taken prior).  Before digital storage scopes evolved into small lunchbox sized surface mount populated fluff boxes in the late 90s, there were digitizing scopes such as the Tektronix 2430 that actually contained normal size parts that can be worked on with human sized fingers. So unlike with newer DSOs, this item does not become e-waste first time it breaks. Tek labels the 2430 as 150MHz / 100 Megasamples/second. Analog scopes should not be used close to their upper bandwidth limit, digitizing scopes carry the same caveat even more so... It is recommended for use at under 40MHz. Like all digital 24__ scopes, it is fulltime digitizing, meaning there is no fallback analog mode, as 468 combiscope had. While this could be seen as a drawback, the upside is that there is no dreaded U400 or U800 IC failure to worry about.   Whereas a non-storage scope can only display what happens after triggering, a digital storage scope can also display what happens before triggering, and this is its main advantage it's like a time machine. You can think of it as an endless loop recorder (like a cockpit voice recorder of an airplane) and you can look back any part of the loop you haven't re-recorded over. The length of the loop is 1024 recording points. A point can be as long as 50mS at the slowest sweep speed, or as short as 10nS at the faster sweep speeds. Similarly, vertical scale is 256 points long.          Ask questions (in English or French).  It's a good way to discuss your exact needs, match you with correct package, options, accessories... even before you buy...      I ship worldwide.  Paypal requires I ship only to your Paypal address with tracking and delivery confirmation. International Airmail has poor tracking and no delivery confirmation, which is why it is not an option if you pay with Paypal.    California buyers pay California sales tax (but I will try to ease Californians' burden by adding something extra. HURRY INCENTIVE: if you BIN by Cyber Monday 1 Dec 14, I will ADD a TEK 10:1 PROBE (w/ RO encoding, costing hundreds new), free! I will also upgrade shipping from ground to 2 day (US) Prio Airmail, if it would take more than 2 days by ground, FREE.

Seller Notes refurbed & traceably calibrated by me if you pay BUY IT NOW price. Li battery has been replaced (good idea for a 1987 scope, though I doubt any other seller would do that for you).
