Tektronix SG503 w/Precision Coax., Term., and Divider Cable SG503 in excellent operational condition, all controls function and the built in frequency counter works as well. The voltage p-p control is noisy and should be removed and treated with deoxit; fairly common problem with these. With that said, the voltage range in 1X is about 0.5-5.5V and it is actually fairly accurate though the scale is tricky to use. Plastic trim is failing, which is normal and in no way impacts function. Release tab works well, never use this tab to actually pull the module out of the mainframe (it will break off); one hand lightly moves the release pull and the other pulls on the bnc connector freeing the module. Also included is the 012-0482-00 Tektronix Precision Coax Zo = 50 Ohm cable, 011-0049-01 Tektronix Pass Thru 50 Ohm Termination, 067-0525-02 Tektronix BNC "T" Cable Assembly (BNC Coupler, dual input); this works fine but it needs to be strain relieved at the bnc’s, see picture. These are the appropriate parts for the SG503. For accurate use this Signal Generator assumes a 50 Ohm termination at the far end of the provided precision coaxial cable via the instrument at the other end or the provided 50 Ohm termination (as on a 1M Ohm only oscilloscope termination). The “T” does not have a Tektronix part number on it, but it is the Tek part purchased directly from them by me. Google the part number for pictures. (Try to strain relieve the coax at the “T” as this is where these fail when in used on closely spaced oscilloscope inputs. All of the above parts are called out in numerous Tektronix Calibration Procedures, and all are used and in good working order. The trace pictures are all at a 0dBm setting at the X1 Amplitude Multiplier (X.1 is the expected value: -20dBM, as is X.01 at –40dBm). Other amplitudes with high bandwidth scope show similar flat responses as expected. I think this instrument is 100% functional. One picture will show a 0 dBm line accrose the entire frequency sweep on a spectrum analyzer. Shipping This item will be shipped UPS Ground to the lower 48 and insured for the sale amount plus the shipping fee quoted, $25. No international sales. It will be well packaged. For what it is worth, I typically loose money on shipping. It is not inexpensive to package test gear to survive transit. I have a full time job. I try to ship the following business day or two but that does not always happen. Especially if you purchased after I last looked at ebay for the day. On occasion I’m gone over the weekend and can’t access ebay, camping and such; otherwise a weekend order will be shipped Monday if at all possible. I do not do international sales. Much of what I sell I am contractually obliged to NOT sell out of country. Also international sales can become way to complicated for me to call hobby. And for me, this really is hobby. Contacting Me Always use the ebay mail system to contact me… This is the ONLY way that I can guarantee that I’ll be in contact; I do not always have access to my regular household email; and because of this it has stacked up to the point that I virtually never look at it but to look for a specific email that I am expecting, almost never. Payment I can accept paypal, I will only ship to the address they specify as your, “Eligible Seller Protection Address”. Please don’t ask for exceptions. Paypal will NOT change this address after the sale. If you ask them to do this, they’re thinking that you’re acting fraudulent. I do not do local pick up, the “Seller Protection Address” thing is completely void if I do so. Proof of delivery for eBay is tracking info from a legitimate shipper. But again, I won’t ship internationally no matter what paypal/eBay say or new settings they’ve implemented to boost their sales numbers. Warranty The above is intended to be a good faith description. There is no warranty of any kind for this item other than that when it leaves my possession it will be as described and well packaged. If damaged or lost during shipment the sole remedy will be via shipping insurance. Please note that if there is an insurance claim the shipper will only deal with the party that actually initiated the shipment(me). They will have the other party verify what the shipping party is claiming. This is a very drawn out and I think intentionally confusing process.
