Description: This auction is for a Teletype Model 28H ASR unit's LXD4 Tape Distributor unit (TD).  This tape sending unit mounts in front on the left hand side of the operator on a Model 28 ASR.  It permits resending of a punched tape as long as that tape is in good condition.  The LXD units plug directly into a pre-wired ASR harness and are driven by a mechanical shaft's pinion gear which rotates the unit's input gear. Additional pictures will be posted shortly. Condition:  Very good, used, nice physical condition, no damage observed, and obviously reusable.   No factory harness or chasis wires have been cut and no parts robbed that I can see.  Some rust is beginning to break out here and there and can be easily cleaned with fine steel wool. Application:  Save as spare or use to change out with an existing LXD4.   Source:  Model 28 ASR Teletype Gear Shipping:  Unit will be packed safely and will be shipped quickly if paid quickly.   There is a small handling charge, usually around $1 to $1.50 to defray the cost of packing & handling. Terms:  All sales are final.  Unit is sold as a vintage collectible that is reusable.  No warranty can be provided although eBay may well offer you extended protection.
