Thermolyne Barnstead Nuovo Magnetic Stirrer/Mixer (S18525), Porcelain-coated Steel Top, 7.0" x 7.0"; 120V Seller's Description: Offered is a USA-made Thermolyne laboratory stirrer in excellent cosmetic and working condition. Other than a few small nicks to the paint, this looks to be a lightly used unit that is very clean inside and out. The S18525 has a 7”x7” porcelain-coated top which resists chemicals and scratches and it is in excellent condition with no stains, scratches or rust. Dial setting provides speed adjustment. Rubber feet stabilize the unit. It is also a UL-listed device. This stirrer is great for use with solutions in beakers, flasks, and medium-sized containers up to 2 liters or so. See the picture where I used the 1.5" stir bar at setting "7" to produce a vortex in ~1L of water using a non-flat bottom mason jar. Stir bars of 2" in length or faster speed settings will require mixing flat-bottomed glassware like a beaker or volumetric flask. Who are you buying from?
